Introduction
NourishGrid LLC is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use NourishGrid. Please read this policy carefully. If you disagree with its terms, please discontinue use of the app. NourishGrid LLC is incorporated in the state of Indiana and operates in accordance with applicable Indiana and federal privacy laws. NourishGrid is committed to transparency about how your data is used and will never sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for commercial purposes.
Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us when you create an account, including your name, email address, and password. We collect preference information you provide during onboarding and throughout your use of NourishGrid, including household size, dietary restrictions, disliked ingredients, and cuisine preferences. We collect recipe data you create, import, or save within the app including ingredients and instructions. When you use the photo scan feature we process your photo solely to extract recipe information; scan photos are not retained after processing. Separately, you may choose to add your own photos to saved recipes. Recipe photos you upload are stored on our cloud infrastructure and remain associated with your account until you remove them, delete the associated recipe, or delete your account. You are responsible for the content of photos you upload, including any people or personal surroundings they may capture. We collect meal plan data including the meals you approve, swap, and skip. We collect grocery list data including items, quantities, and which items you mark as purchased. We collect usage data including how you interact with NourishGrid, how frequently you use it, and your weekly usage counts for AI-powered features. This usage data is used solely to manage feature access limits within the app. All payments are handled entirely by Apple through Apple In-App Purchase. NourishGrid LLC does not collect or store any payment information directly. NourishGrid does not collect, extract, or store biometric identifiers including facial geometry or other biometric data from submitted photos. Dietary restrictions, food allergies, and health-related food preferences you provide are treated as sensitive personal information. This information is used solely to personalize meal planning recommendations and is never sold, shared for advertising purposes, or disclosed to third parties except as necessary to provide AI-powered features through our processing provider. If you use household sharing, the account holder's meal plans, recipes, grocery lists, staples, and food preferences become visible to invited members, and content members add becomes visible to the account holder and other members. We collect the name and email address of members you invite, protected under the same terms as account holder data. If you connect a grocery retailer, we store an access token that lets NourishGrid search that retailer's catalog and add items to your cart on your behalf, along with which products your list items were matched to and their prices at the time of matching. We do not receive or store your retailer account credentials, payment information, or purchase history. You can disconnect the retailer at any time from within the app, which deletes the access token we hold and clears any product matches. The retailer may continue to record the authorization on their side until it expires; you can revoke it directly in your retailer account settings. If you share a recipe or grocery list via a public link, that content becomes accessible to anyone holding the link without signing in. You control what you share and may revoke a link at any time.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to provide, maintain, and improve NourishGrid and its features. We use your preference data to generate personalized meal plans and recipe suggestions. We use your email address to send account-related communications including important account notifications and subscription updates. We use your information to manage your subscription status. All payment processing is handled entirely by Apple through Apple In-App Purchase. We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your information for targeted advertising. We do not use dietary restriction or allergy data for any purpose other than generating personalized meal suggestions within the app.
AI-Generated Content and Your Data
NourishGrid uses artificial intelligence to generate meal plans, recipes, and grocery lists. When you request AI-generated content, your preferences, dietary restrictions, and relevant saved recipe data are included in the request sent to our AI provider. This data is used solely to generate your requested content and is not used to train AI models. AI generation requests are logged internally by NourishGrid LLC for debugging, quality improvement, and cost monitoring. These logs are accessible only to our team and are never shared with third parties. NourishGrid builds a personalized taste profile for each user based on their saved recipes, approved meals, and stated preferences. This taste profile is stored securely and used solely to improve recipe suggestions and meal plan personalization within NourishGrid. It is never shared with third parties or used for advertising purposes. NourishGrid also uses AI to classify your saved recipes by meal type, dish role, cuisine, primary protein, cooking method, and dietary attributes, so that meal plans can be varied and recipes filtered. This classification uses only recipe content you have already saved.
Data Sharing and Disclosure
NourishGrid LLC does not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share your information with trusted third-party service providers who assist us in operating NourishGrid, including our cloud infrastructure provider and AI processing provider. NourishGrid uses a third-party cloud infrastructure provider for application hosting and data storage. NourishGrid LLC does not control our infrastructure provider's internal data handling practices. NourishGrid uses Apple Inc and Google LLC for user authentication. If you use Apple Hide My Email, Apple provides a private relay address rather than your real email address, and we store and communicate with that relay address. Information passed through Google Authentication is subject to Google's own privacy practices. All payment information is handled by Apple Inc through Apple In-App Purchase. NourishGrid LLC does not store any payment information directly. NourishGrid LLC is not responsible for the privacy or security practices of Apple, Google, or any other third-party service provider integrated into NourishGrid. We select third-party service providers who we believe maintain appropriate privacy and security standards. However NourishGrid LLC cannot guarantee or control the data practices of third-party providers and encourages you to review their respective privacy policies. NourishGrid LLC does not authorize any third-party service provider to use your personal information for advertising, tracking, or any purpose other than providing their designated services to NourishGrid LLC. NourishGrid includes an in-app web browser for recipe discovery. When you navigate to external websites through this browser, those websites may independently collect data about your visit including cookies, device identifiers, and browsing behavior. NourishGrid LLC does not control, receive, or have access to data collected by third-party websites you visit through the in-app browser. The privacy policies of those third-party websites govern any data they collect. When you use a grocery retailer integration, your grocery list items and quantities are transmitted to that retailer solely to match products and retrieve current pricing. That data is governed by the retailer's own privacy policy. NourishGrid LLC does not share your data with any retailer for advertising or for any purpose beyond product matching and cart creation.
Third Party Services
NourishGrid integrates with the following categories of third-party service providers to deliver its features. Cloud infrastructure and data storage providers host your account data and app content securely. Authentication providers process your sign-in credentials. Payment processors handle subscription billing entirely on our behalf. AI technology providers process your preferences and requests solely to generate personalized meal plans and recipe suggestions. Email delivery providers send account notifications on our behalf. Each of these providers receives only the minimum data necessary to perform their specific function. NourishGrid LLC does not permit any third-party provider to sell your data, use it for advertising purposes, or share it with other parties beyond what is necessary to provide their service. Your data is never used to build advertising profiles or target you with advertisements inside or outside of NourishGrid. Data Retention
NourishGrid LLC retains your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with our services. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, with the exception of information we are required to retain for legal or regulatory purposes. Accounts that remain inactive for 12 or more months may be permanently deleted with 30 days prior email notice. Recipe photos you upload are deleted when you remove them, when you delete the associated recipe, or when you delete your account. Publicly shared links stop working immediately when you revoke them.
Your Rights and Choices
You have the right to access the personal information NourishGrid LLC holds about you. You have the right to correct inaccurate or incomplete information. You have the right to request deletion of your personal information by deleting your account from the Account Settings screen. You have the right to export your saved recipes at any time from the Account Settings screen. You have the right to opt out of marketing emails by tapping the unsubscribe link in any email we send. You have the right to disable push notifications at any time through your device settings or within NourishGrid. To exercise any of these rights please contact us at support@nourishgridllc.com.
Your State Privacy Rights
Depending on your state of residence you may have additional privacy rights. California residents have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete your personal information, the right to correct inaccurate information, and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. NourishGrid does not sell your personal information. NourishGrid does not share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Dietary restrictions, health preferences, and household composition data are treated as sensitive personal information and are used solely to provide app functionality. Virginia, Colorado, and Connecticut residents have similar rights. To exercise any of these rights contact us at support@nourishgridllc.com with the subject line Privacy Rights Request. We will respond within 45 days.
Children's Privacy
NourishGrid is not directed to children under the age of 16. NourishGrid LLC does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 16 we will delete that information promptly. Security
NourishGrid LLC implements industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information including encryption in transit and at rest, secure authentication, and regular security reviews. However no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100 percent secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you believe your account has been compromised please contact us immediately at support@nourishgridllc.com.
Changes to This Policy
NourishGrid LLC may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by sending an email to the address associated with your account or by displaying a prominent notice within NourishGrid. Your continued use of the app after we make changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
